Accessibility
Calder Gardens welcomes all visitors. Our facility is designed to offer a range of accommodations and services, which are detailed here. Visitors may request accommodations or learn more about services at Calder Gardens by contacting us at info@caldergardens.org or 215.278.7250.
Gardens and Building
The gardens and building are accessible. The gardens are barrier-free; you’ll find flat pathways with gentle inclines and no stairs. Inside, the entrance is barrier-free, and elevators and automatic doors provide access to all public spaces.
Parking
Calder Gardens has no on-site parking facilities. There is an accessible drop-off location on 22nd Street between the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Vine Street Expressway, about 350 feet from the main entrance.
The closest accessible parking spots are located in the Franklin Institute garage at 271 North 21st Street. Please note: The garage has a limited number of spaces and reaches capacity often. It has a height limit of 6'5" and has limited parking for oversize vans, trucks, and SUVs.
Admission and Personal Care Assistants
Calder Gardens offers free admission to ACCESS/EBT/Art-Reach ACCESS cardholders.
Personal care assistants (PCAs) receive complimentary admission when accompanying a visitor to Calder Gardens. For advance tickets, email info@caldergardens.org or call 215.278.7250 to request a complimentary ticket for a PCA.
