People Talking: On Art and Gardens
Thursday, January 29, 3:30 – 6:30pm
$35; $20 members
This two-part program is composed of a screening of Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf followed by a conversation between Thomas Piper, the film’s director, and Taylor Zakarin, the associate curator of High Line Art, New York. Tickets include gallery access before the event.
3:30 – 4:45pm: Screening
5 – 6:30pm: Conversation
Piper and Zakarin will engage in a cross-disciplinary dialogue on the living nature of art. In the spirit of Oudolf’s transformative work here at Calder Gardens, the conversation will bridge the gap between landscape design and the curation of performance, questioning how we engage with art that is designed to change, fade, and bloom.
